    Over 100 years ago, Maria Montessori developed a unique theory of education. She recognized that when a child is self-motivated the learning process comes easily and naturally. All the teacher must do is; prepare the environment with the right objects and the right time, as well as offer the proper mental stimulation and guidance.     Casa de Colores Montessori stands for the growth and development of youthful minds through the Montessori method to aid children in flourishing to become the well rounded individuals of our society. 
    Julie Armendariz has been in the education business since she graduated high school at Tulare Union. She was born in Oregon and raised in the San Joaquin Valley. After high school, Julie worked at a local nursery until she moved to El Paso. She has lived here for over 20 years. Before coming to El Paso, Julie attended the College of Sequoias and CSU Fresno. When she came to El Paso she studied under Joan Ellard until Mrs. Ellard was transfered to Albuquerque, where Julie continued her Montessori education training to receive her NCME. Julie has over 20 years of teaching experience in public, private, and Montessori schools.
